Crazy claim that I (Rachel) believe: if you care about AI safety, probably the best thing you can do right now is reach out to people you know in Manhattan and nudge them to vote for Alex Bores in the NY-12 congressional primary on June 23rd. (That is, if you've already donated)
During this session, I'll first explain why I think this election is so important and the things you can do are so impactful. In short, Alex Bores is a real AI safety champion and an effective legislator, running in an extremely tight race where very few votes might make the difference.
Then we will do the very impactful activity live! I have some resources and tips to make this easier. Plus I think it's really useful as a commitment mechanism to do this in this live with a group of other people.
