TRANSITIONS
Cola -> Horizon
- out: ride Cola's outro from ~5:30 (groove/percussion only, vocal gone).
- in: Horizon from the start (long atmospheric intro). NOT key-locked (2B vs 4A), so mix
over Cola's percussive tail, EQ Horizon's lows out until you swap kicks on Cola's phrase
change ~6:00. Keep the two melodic lines off each other.
Horizon -> Panic Room
- out: from ~6:30, after Horizon's last melodic peak.
- in: Panic Room from the beginning (8-bar intro). 4A -> 5A, clean +1. Panic Room pitched
to 124. Let the Au/Ra vocal land on Horizon's outro phrase change.
Panic Room -> Recondite – Corvus [your direct move; +3, biggest harmonic step]
- out: ride Panic Room's stripped outro from ~6:00 (vocal done, groove only).
- in: Corvus low-end first under Panic Room's percussion. +3 (5A->8A), so treat like the
Cola move: EQ-blend over low-tonal sections, NO long melodic overlay. Full swap on
Corvus's first drop. Short and decisive.
Recondite – Corvus -> Massano – The Feeling
- out: over Corvus's rolling outro, last third.
- in: Massano from the start. 8A -> 9A, clean +1. Pitch Massano to ~126. 16-bar blend,
swap on Massano's first break.
Massano – The Feeling -> Kolsch – Grey
- out: after Massano's main melodic section.
- in: Grey from the intro. 9A -> 10A, clean +1. Pitch Grey to ~127. Long hypnotic build,
run it under Massano 24-32 bars before full handover.
Kolsch – Grey -> Jamie xx – Treat Each Other Right
- out: from Grey's stripped outro.
- in: TEOR from the intro. 10A -> 11A, clean +1, the lift into the peak. Pitch TEOR DOWN
to 128 (from 130) so it locks with Mau P next. Bring in on an 8-bar phrase and let build.
Jamie xx – Treat Each Other Right -> Mau P – The Less I Know The Better [SAME KEY 11A, seamless]
- out: starts ~2:57 'a' 'a' 'a'. Ensure does not go into drop ~3:11.
- in: from the beginning. Loop first 8 bars into the phase change at ~2:41 of TEOR.
(both at 128, same key: cleanest blend in the set)
Mau P – The Less I Know The Better -> Everything In Its Right Place (Gigamesh/Elohim)
- out: at ~2:10 (strip away), start the cover underneath. After 8 bars (~2:23, end of
'better'), play one-bar repeat and hold to collide with the cover's bass drop.
- in: cover from the beginning (8 bars).
- collision: beatmatch here. Pitch Mau P down toward the cover (~124) so the drop locks.
If Mau P is 11A (F#m) and cover ~4A (Fm) it's a one-semitone clash, but it's a breakdown
collision so keep colliding layers vocal/percussive, not tonal. Rehearse the one-bar hold.
