Agency's Principal Problem: a relational view of action

We tend to think of agency as internal willpower - action caused by a deliberate choice against passive drifting.

I want to offer a different view: agency that responds to opportunities and completes them. A view in which all action is relational, the result of interacting tension and release, yin and yang. Like in a video game, you act when the moment calls you to act, rather than having to force yourself to act.

I'll have a brief presentation and then we'll open to a discussion circle. If the opportunity arises, I might be able to provide some physical demonstrations!
