Come try out content from the book I'm writing, Spiritual Awakening Through Cold Hard Reason: A Philosophy Professor's Guide to Meditation. I'll give a series of micro-lectures, each followed by a short meditative "glimpse" aimed at one piece of what Buddhist traditions call the awakened view.
We'll focus on one chapter — Chapter 3: There Are No Things and They Are Not One Way or the Other. We'll look at how that claim is supported by logic and Western philosophy, then sit with a glimpse designed to make it felt rather than just argued.
No meditation experience required. Those with extensive meditation backgrounds may find the session particularly engaging.
