Small group discussion for Papal Election Simulation attendees

Hear and discuss top takeaways and general reflections from the recent Papal Election Simulation held at Lighthaven during Summer Camp (June 8 to 11, 2026). This experience was a giant ~40 pax multi-party negotiation (adjacent to Model United Nations conferences) with certain elements of historical role-play and wargaming.

Discussion may include:

• What prompted you to sign up to a 12-hour simulation of the 1492 Papal Conclave?

• Negotiation strategies that you tried during the simulation and found helpful

• Other useful and/or novel observations based on your experience

• How do you plan to generalise the takeaways and apply them to your life?

• Are you still thinking about the experience ~3 days later and/or are the characters burned into your brain?
